Tuition Investment Rates
2012-2013
The tuition rates for St. Rose Catholic School for the 2012-2013 school year have been set to meet the needs of the operation of our school. It costs approximately $5,000 to educate one child for one year at St. Rose. An important part of the mission of our Catholic Church is to teach. Families do not have to pay that full amount. If you check the tuition fees below you will find that the Perry County Consortium of Catholic Parishes, which includes, St. Rose in New Lexington, St. Patrick in Junction City, St. Bernard in Corning, and Church of the Atonement in Crooksville, pays the subsidy for each student. This is a heavy burden on our fellow parishioners. How do we raise the money it takes to educate your child? The answer: fundraisers. Without fundraisers, there would be no St.RoseSchool. Those families that participate in the fundraisers, will benefit from them. Please see the Volunteer Policy on the other side of this page for further information.
As the cost of living increases every year, so do the costs of running a school. Following our Bishop’s directions, we have to increase our tuition gradually and annually. In order to keep the tuition rate below the cost of $5,000 per student, we must have families who are
- fiscally responsible paying tuition on time and
- committed to the various fundraising projects with their time and talent.
The active parishioner* tuition rates for 2012-2013 (k – 8) are as follows:
1st Child | $2,000 |
2nd Child | $1,900 |
3rd Child | $1,800 |
4th Child | $1,800 |
All other tuition rates, which include non-Catholic and inactive parishioners:
1st Child | $2,600 |
2nd Child | $2,500 |
3rd Child | $2,400 |
4th Child | $2,400 |
Those who respond with their time, 40 hours per year, will benefit from the funds raised. Those who do not volunteer 40 hours per year, according to the policy explained on the other side of this paper, will be assessed an extra $500. Please remember that to keep these published rates we need a generous and committed response to our fundraising efforts. Without the help of our Bishop, the parishes, and the fundraisers, each family would have to pay $5,000 for each student educated at St. Rose Catholic School.
* An active parishioner
- is involved in the life of the parish, which means that parent and child participate consistently at Sunday Mass and holy days of obligation, and
- regularly contributes to the weekly parish offertory with the offertory envelopes they receive each month.
(Active parishioner status will be verified by the pastor in August, December, and April.)
