St. Rose of Lima Catholic School Tuition Investment Rates 2011-2012The tuition rates for St. Rose Catholic School for the 2011-2012 school year have been set to meet the needs of the operation of our school. It costs approximately $4,200 to educate one child for one year at St. Rose. Families do not have to pay that full amount. An important part of the mission of our Catholic Church is to teach. If you check the tuition fees below you will find that the Perry County Consortium of Catholic Parishes, which includes, St. Rose in New Lexington, St. Patrick in Junction City, St. Bernard in Corning, and Church of the Atonement in Crooksville, pays the subsidy for each student. This is a heavy burden on our fellow parishioners. How do we raise the money it takes to educate your child? The answer: fundraisers. Without fundraisers, there would be no St. Rose School. Those families that participate in the fundraisers, will benefit from them. Please see the Volunteer Policy on the other side of this page for further information. In order to keep tuition rates down (we have, by far, the lowest tuition rate in the diocese), we must have parents who are The active parishioner* tuition rates for 2011-2012 (k – 8) are as follows: 1st Child | $1,800 | 2nd Child | $1,700 | 3rd Child | $1,600 | 4th Child | $1,600 |
All other tuition rates, which include non-Catholic and inactive parishioners: 1st Child | $2,400 | 2nd Child | $2,300 | 3rd Child | $2,200 | 4th Child | $2,200 |
Those who respond with their time, 40 hours per year, will benefit from the funds raised. Those who do not volunteer 40 hours per year, according to the policy explained on the other side of this paper, will be assessed an extra $500. Please remember that to keep these rates we need a generous and committed response to our fundraising efforts. * An active parishioner 1. is involved in the life of the parish, which means that parent and child participate consistently at Sunday Mass and holy days of obligation, and 2. regularly contributes to the weekly parish offertory with the offertory envelopes they receive each month. (Active parishioner status will be verified by the pastor in August, December, and April.)
