2nd Grade News

Rosary Month
During the month of October, which is dedicated to the Holy Rosary, our entire school will be reciting the Rosary on Thursday afternoons at 2:30pm in the church. You are invited to join us and sit with our class.

Field Trip
We will be taking a field trip to Noll's Farm on Tuesday, October 18th. Please be on the lookout for the permission slip and additional information about the trip to be coming home soon.

Friday's Mass
This Friday is our trip to St. Nicholas Church in Zanesville for Mass. We will be leaving St. Rose at 9:15am and will return by 12:30pm. We will be traveling by bus and all students, grades K-8 will be going. As always, please make sure your child comes to school appropriately dressed in the "Mass Day uniform".

Friday's Lunch
We will follow our usual school lunch routine on Friday, however it will be delayed by about one hour due to the trip to St. Nick's for Mass. Grades K-4 normally have lunch at 11:30am, but on this Friday we will have lunch immediately upon returning from Zanesville, at about 12:30pm. Please prepare your child for this change by making sure they eat a breakfast that is significant enough to sustain them through the additional hour. Thank you.

• Math: ten more, ten less; rounding to the nearest ten
• Religion: the Rosary
• Science: how seeds grow; plant life cycles
• Social Studies: community and state governments
• Health: caring for our skin, hair, and nails
