Important Wax Museum Reminder

The first St. Rose School Wax Museum will take place on Friday, March 30^th The museum will be “open” from 1:45-2:45. During this hour, visitors are welcome to tour through the museum at their leisure. Our second graders will be presenting their Famous American Projects at this time. Please join us for this exciting event!

Chinese Auction Donations

Our second grade class has been asked to put together a basket donation for the Chinese Auction which will take place this Saturday, March 31^st. The auction will help fund the annual 8^th grade class trip. Our basket’s theme is “summer fun.” If you would like to make a monetary donation or donate something to go along with this theme please send it by this Thursday, March 29^th. I will purchase the basket so as to ensure it will fit all the donations that are sent in.

Homework

Due to the extensive projects students are completing this week and the upcoming week-long spring break, there was no additional homework assigned for this week. The homework packet cover sheet did not have any written assignments attached to it and, therefore, does not need to be returned to school.

Report Cards

Report cards went home Monday, March 26^th.This is just a reminder that you are asked to sign and return both the report card and the envelope each quarter. Upon receiving your child’s signed report card and envelope back at school, I will send a copy of the current report card home for you to keep.

First Communion Preparation

During April, many events will be held that are vital to the preparation process for students who will be receiving First Holy Communion. The first of these is Holy Thursday Mass which will take place while we are on spring break. Holy Thursday Mass will be held next Thursday evening (April 5^th) at 7:00pm at St. Rose Church. Again, students are being asked to attend this Mass in preparation for their First Holy Communion. Father Jim has asked that students meet in the back of church by 6:45pm to organize for a procession at the beginning of Mass. Students will receive any further instructions at that time.
