2^nd Grade News

Spelling Test

Since this is a short week and next week is a short week we will NOT have a spelling test this week. Instead, we will work on the current words (the Unit 15 list that was sent home the day we went on break) this week and next and have the test next Thursday, Jan. 12^th. I will send home the word list again in next week’s homework packet just in case the one sent home previously has gotten thrown away or misplaced.

Classroom Supplies

We are running low on a few of the supplies that we share as a whole class. If you are able and willing to purchase and send in any of the items, it would be very much appreciated! Things we are in need of include: tissues, paper towels, and hand sanitizer.

What We’re Learning:

Language Arts: words with blends spr, scr, str, writing stories with beginning, middle, end; noun review (singular, plural, possessives)

Math: extended practice of regrouping ones as tens

Religion: our Savior has been born

Science: habitats (places to live)

Health: caring for teeth
